Skerries Harps are just a few short months away from moving into a brand new clubhouse but before the key is turned on the building there is some fundraising to be done and that’s why the club was gathered at Ollie’s Place recently to launch the latest club fundraiser dubbed ‘The Kube’.

A great crowd turned up for the launch of The McMeel’s Pharmacy and Ollie’s Place sponsored ‘The Kube’ in aid of Skerries Harps GAA club.

The club has warmly thanked Ollie Grimes for the use of ‘Ollie’s Place’ for the night which formally launched ‘The Kube’ night which is set to take place at the City North Hotel on Friday, November 14.

The Kube night is the main fundraiser for the club’s new clubhouse which is set to open in February of next year, heralding a new era for Skerries Harps.

The new clubhouse will consist of four modern changing rooms for teams in addition to a social area comprising of a bar and function room and a balcony overlooking the main pitch.

As part of Phase 1 of the project, new state-of-the-art floodlights have been installed which will afford the club the opportunity to host inter-county and other major games in the years ahead.

Speaking about the vital fundraiser that will be ‘The Kube’ night, Fergal Lynch, club PRO for Skerries Harps, said: ‘We have 41 contestants playing on the night for various clubs, charities. It is great to see all these worthy causes benefiting from this fundraiser.

‘The contestants’ different charities and videos can be seen on the website skerriesharps.ie and Facebook Page Skerries Harps presents The Kube.’

Fergal explained: ‘Each contestant will enter the KUBE on two occasions at a minimum, with two contestants from each heat progressing to the final 16, and so on until we reach the Final, where four contestants will have the opportunity to take on the KUBE and win €3,000.’

Tickets for the event are now on sale at €20. Contact Joanne 086 4058523 or Ger 086 6032017 for tickets.

There will buses available on the night leaving from Skerries Harps Clubhouse from 6pm and returning after the event. Return bus fare is €10 and bus tickets from Paul 085 1740474.

Sponsors McMeel’s Pharmacy will have a range of Products on Sale at the venue at specially discounted prices for this night only, so maybe you could get some Christmas Shopping done as well.
